Here's what we experienced: They showed up on time, and brought moving dollies. They surveyed the items, formulated a plan, and got to work moving things right away. They made everything fit safely (and efficiently utilized the space in the moving truck- it was clear they knew what they were doing). The work was completed ahead of schedule, and they advised us on the best practices to unload safely. We would not hesitate to recommend these guys (we felt lucky we found them). We showed them what had to be moved and I would say within five minutes of their arrival they were carting boxes to the truck. Benjamin, Josh and Chris worked non-stop until the truck was loaded. They worked as a good team even though it was a hot day and there were steps involved. While waiting for them to arrive I wondered if the testimonials I read on the site were on the mark. I can say for myself now they were. The team loaded and unloaded the truck (including the drive to the new location) within the two hours we had reserved. This was an apartment move and it was a great relief to get my daughter moved without the hassle of asking friends to help. Nothing was broken. This left plenty of time for us to unpack boxes and get things situated the remainder of the day. I would highly recommend Get Up and Go Movers and make use of your services again. (6/15/08) Elaine P.: On June 12th, we were met by Brian and Richie in Herndon, VA, to help us unload our moving truck. We were so well pleased with their hard and efficient work, that I wanted to write and let you know. If I would have had $100 extra dollars, I would have given them an additional $50 each. This was not an easy move, as there is only one elevator in the building, and it was at the end of a very long hall, and it was extremely hot out. We offered them water, but they declined until after they were done with the move. They worked for 2 hours straight without a break. Also, we have some fragile glass things that we were concerned about and everything got in its place safely! They are great workers. Thanks for sending us two men who are so reliable and easy to work with. They certainly made everything easier for us.
